TALENTED girls from Argyle Community Trust Advanced Development Centre recently took part in the Swindon Cup at Wantage Town FC, competing against South Wales team’s 1 & 2, Swindon Town, Portsmouth, Charlton Athletic and Swansea City.
The under 16s team have worked very hard in training and came out with brilliant results, not losing a single match on the day. In other recent games that the girls have played, they’ve been able to achieve a win and three draws.
The Centre is currently open to both under-14 and under-16 age groups. We also have close links to the Argyle Ladies first team. Young females who have joined the team have – on occasion – progressed through each age group, and could eventually become a part of the Argyle Ladies team. Anyone between the ages 12-16 are welcome to come along to the sessions and take part.
The sessions run weekly, going from late August to May each year. They are based at Ivybridge Community College on the 3G every Wednesday Night 6:30-8:30pm. Matches are usually being contested during half-term breaks against other Premier League & Football League Clubs, along with other female represented teams in the local area.
If you think you might like to join the team or just see what it is all about, please contact Ryan Hooper on ryan.hooper@pafc.co.uk or call 01752 562561 ext 4.
