A DEVASTATING spell of eight goals in just 32 minutes gave Argyle Ladies a huge win over Maidenhead United on the weekend.

To their credit, the home side held on for almost an hour before the avalanche begun and from there, the Pilgrims were exhilarating in attack.

Ezme Wells and Natasha Knapman both bagged a brace, and there were further goals from Katie Middleton, Amber Pollock, Becky Atkins and an OG from the beleaguered hosts.

Manager Dave Leonard concluded: “This was a scintilating display and just what we needed after last week’s performance. What impressd me was that they could have sat back on their laurels but they pushed on relentlessly to score more goals.”

A happy Green weekend was complete with the reserves recording an equally emphatic victory, beating Lakeside Ladies 13-2.
