THE quality of coaching at Argyle Community Trust is reflected in those delivering sessions to the young people of our region.

A quick audit of the Trust coaching team shows a large number of former professionals and apprentices with professional clubs currently working on developing future talent for Plymouth Argyle.

People like Jason Chapman, Bobby Hopkinson, Lewis Coombes, Ben Cross, Jordan Copp, Lee Britchford, Tom McHale, Sam Fogeraty, Ed Timmons and Neil Slateford all learned their trade in the professional arena, and it’s a great source of pride for the Trust that this group of gifted footballers are now passing on their knowledge.

“The delivery of high quality coaching is central to the ethos of Argyle Community Trust,” said Trust Manager Mark Lovell. “I am delighted we have recruited so many former apprentices to our scheme and it can only benefit the children attending our courses.

“Many of the apprentices are also involved in delivering football coaching to students on our Futsal Scholarship and the Education programme, giving even more credibility to a growing sector in the Trust.

“Footballers naturally respond positively to coaches who have played the game to a high standard and I am very proud of the contribution made by all our staff in the Trust.”
